#BHN Is Levy 'cooking the books'? | More tax free income for Luxon | Unhoused numbers grow
Health Commissioner Professor Lester Levy has been accused of “cooking the books” at Health NZ-Te Whatu Ora to justify cuts to health services. Labour's Health spokesperson Ayesha Verrall highlighted Levy’s past record at three district health boards, where she claimed that he produced surpluses which turned to deficits when he left. Levy had a “reputation for cooking the books”, she said.
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has sold another investment property - potentially making a significant tax-free capital gain.
The Reserve Bank Governor stands by his decisions during and after Covid-19, saying the economy could have turned out far worse, while also criticising investors who had taken advantage of cheap lending to buy more property.
Thirteen thousand more people in New Zealand are severely housing deprived compared to the previous Census. As a percentage of the population, it's an estimated increase of 0.2 percent, but there are large disparities between ethnicities, abilities, and postcodes

#BHN Luxon on Q&A shambolic | Labour Party Conference | Three News Treaty Principles Polling
Christopher Luxon finally appeared on Q&A over the weekend and we saw his usual behaviour of blaming Labour, not answering questions and CEO speak. One thing that was incredibly interesting from the interview is how much responsibility Christopher Luxon has, versus how much should be laid at the feet of David Seymour...it was shocking.
Stuff and Three News release what they are calling "shocking" result from a recent survey asking New Zealanders about the Treaty Principles Bill.
Chippy is joining us LIVE later in the week but tonight we'll take a quick look at what was promised ta the weekend's conference in Christchurch
