Today I'm playing an early 70's Harmony H6365. Mahogany top and back, Grand Concert size, and ladder braced, which gives it a slightly different voice to the norm, which I like. This would be a great 'character' guitar to have in the corner of a studio for when your usual acoustic just aren't sitting right in the mix. ;-)

I'm going to try this again!
I'm going to be doing a series on my own guitars, just a bit of a chat about them, then me playing them. To kick off I'm going to look at my lates 60's-ish Audition electric guitar. Made in Japan, on paper it should be terrible, but it's one of my favourite ever guitars. :-)

On our first episode I talk to Rick Turner of Rick Turner Guitars. Rick's a real legend in the world of guitar making, and in this episode we cover a lot of different subjects.
Rick told me about the evolution of his Model 1 and Renaissance guitars (As played by Lyndsey Buckingham) his revolutionary Compass Rose acoustic guitars, some new designs he's working on, and many more things. He's a really nice guy, and it was great to speak with him.
This episode is sponsored by our friends at The North American Guitar in London, the U.K home of the finest custom guitars, including Rick Turner guitars. Special thanks to Ben Montague there for introducing me to Rick.
