The Basics of Bible Study & Prayer w Kelly Needham

    06/05/2026 | 1h 7 mins.
This week on CHH, the girls are joined by their good friend Kelly Needham. Kelly shares what life looked like on the road with her husband while also pursuing her calling as a writer.

She unpacks one of her biggest insights when it comes to studying the Bible: it takes time, and it’s deeply relational. Scripture isn’t complicated or exclusive; it’s for everyone. It’s simple enough for a child to understand, yet rich enough to transform your life. Kelly encourages listeners to approach reading with intention, even suggesting writing down 10 things you learn about God as you go.

When it comes to prayer, she keeps it honest and freeing. Prayer is simply talking to God. Even when it doesn’t feel valuable, it is, because He is. She reminds us that the Word is living, and as you bring it into your heart and daily life, it will begin to move and shape you. Going deeper doesn’t just mean learning more, it means lingering longer.

Laura closes by reminding us of the truth found in Ephesians 2:10, that God has created each of us with purpose, set apart for good works. At the heart of it all, this episode is a reminder that God is inviting you into a real, personal relationship with Him.

Am I Really Saved? How to Know for Sure When You’re Doubting Your Salvation

    29/04/2026 | 1h 3 mins.
This week, the girls sit down to talk about faith and the questions so many of us wrestle with: How do you know if you’re truly saved? Can you lose your salvation? These doubts can lead to insecurity, not just in your faith, but in your identity in Christ, and that uncertainty can bleed into every area of life.

They dive into the importance of staying rooted in the Word daily and reminding yourself of what’s true: Jesus loves you. They reflect on how, before the cross, priests had to offer sacrifices to approach God, but Jesus, our ultimate High Priest, came and gave His life once and for all so we could have direct access to the Father.

As Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” He alone paid the price, something no one else could ever do.

Salvation isn’t something we earn. It’s a gift. Scripture tells us that whoever hears and believes that Jesus is the Son of God, sent by the Father, has eternal life. Our role is simply to receive it, to open our hands and accept the free gift of grace.

Discerning What’s True in Today’s Culture & God’s Unique Plan for Women w Jaco Booyens

    22/04/2026 | 1h 23 mins.
This week, Laura is joined by her good friend Holly Todd and special guest Jaco Booyens from South Africa. He shares powerful firsthand experiences from years of fighting against child trafficking alongside his family, shedding light on a heartbreaking reality impacting our world today.

Together, they dive into the deeper spiritual battle woven throughout our culture—one that not only distorts truth, but also contributes to the spiritual and systematic devaluation of women and the exploitation of the vulnerable. They discuss how women and men are uniquely created with purpose, and why understanding that design is essential in the fight for truth.

As the conversation unfolds, they highlight the importance of situational awareness, critical thinking, and historical context when navigating today’s cultural conversations—from global issues like Israel to the perspectives shaping younger generations. In a world full of noise and confusion, they emphasize the need to slow down, seek truth in Scripture, and rely on the Holy Spirit for discernment.

This conversation is a call to awareness and action—encouraging us to stand up for others, pursue truth with wisdom, and remain grounded in what is eternally true.

Fighting for Hope w Kirby Kelly

    15/04/2026 | 56 mins.
This week, the girls sit down with good friend Kirby Kelly. Kirby shares about her book The Fabric of Open & opens up about walking through grief both with & without hope. Together, they unpack the misconception that a “blessed” life means everything is going well, & how hardship is often wrongly seen as a sign of failure in faith.

They remind us that God is still good even in the hard & that our circumstances don’t define His character. Scripture tells us that the testing of our faith produces perseverance, & through it all, we can experience His presence in a deeper way. True hope is found when our focus shifts off ourselves & onto Jesus.
