Tapas Fleming
Tapas Fleming
In this episode, Tapas Fleming, a pioneer in the energy psychology field, shares her journey of developing the Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT). She was inspired to create a simpler, faster, and cheaper way to help her clients overcome allergies. Through her exploration, she discovered specific acupuncture points that, when touched, improved the effectiveness of her treatments. This led her to develop the TAT pose, which involves touching specific points on the face and head. TAT is a powerful tool for healing emotional trauma and updating outdated beliefs and emotions. It can also be used to address intergenerational trauma.

Dr Philip Friedman
Dr Philip Friedman
Peta and Dr Phil have the most extraordinary conversation here. They actually share about how Phil trained under the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy giants and greats, when CBT was just emerged and considered quackery and ridiculous. Phil shares that he has seen many therapies be rejected and then embraced - this was a refreshing conversation! It also gave me great hope in the 4th wave approaches. Part of what has driven Phil all these years, is searching for the tools that would help his clients - he found the 4th wave approaches well before we did!
Phil has contributed so much in the area of developing psychological measures and therapy tools (links below) - he is truly a giant in the psychology field.
Note: about 3 months after this interviewed was recorded, I (Peta) received news that Phil had passed. He was still seeing clients from his nursing home and positively impacting the lives of those he touched. I was quietly devastated but eternally grateful I was able to have this conversation and record Phil's journey through the decades.
