Episode 119: 'The Parent You Want To Be: Simple Shifts To Change Your Home' with Kirk Martin

    15/07/2026 | 56 mins.
Parenting can bring out parts of us we didn’t even know were there.
One minute, everything seems fine. The next, the kids are arguing, nobody is listening, you’re running late—and you hear yourself yelling again.

Then comes the guilt: “This isn’t the parent I want to be.”

In this episode of The Rev Rx Podcast, Chad sits down with Kirk Martin, founder of Celebrate Calm and host of the Calm Parenting Podcast, for a practical and honest conversation about moving from reactive parenting to calm, connected leadership.

Kirk’s work grew out of his experience raising a strong-willed son. After trying the fear-and-intimidation approach he had learned growing up, Kirk realized something important: the only person he could truly control was himself.

That realization changed his family—and eventually led him to work with 1,500 strong-willed and neurodivergent children in his own home.
Kirk explains why a parent’s anxiety is often the greatest source of tension in the home and how changing your posture, tone, and response can completely shift a difficult moment. He also shares a surprisingly simple strategy: instead of marching into the room and taking control, sit down, observe, and become curious about what is really happening.

Chad and Kirk also explore the connection between our view of God as Father and the way we parent. They discuss patience and self-control as fruit of the Spirit, the danger of sacrificing long-term relationships for short-term compliance, and why our mistakes can become some of our most powerful teaching moments.

    In this episode:
    • Why trying to control your child often backfires
    • How parental anxiety escalates conflict
    • The difference between reacting and responding
    • Why strong-willed and neurodivergent children often respond differently to traditional discipline
    • How your posture and tone can deescalate a tense situation
    • Why discipline should teach rather than simply punish
    • How to address the root of a child’s behavior
    • Choosing long-term relationship over short-term compliance
    • What Jesus can teach us about compassion, correction, and connection
    • How apologizing to your children models humility
    • A practical strategy parents can begin using today

Kirk’s challenge is simple: the next time you enter a tense situation, sit down. Don’t immediately lecture, threaten, or try to fix everything. Observe, become curious, and ask what your child may need to learn in that moment.

You don’t have to become a perfect parent overnight. With humility, grace, and the help of the Holy Spirit, you can begin becoming the parent you want to be.

Episode 118: 'Why Not Me? From Undersized to Unstoppable' with Rennie Curran

    08/07/2026 | 41 mins.
🎙️ How to Reach Your God-Given Potential (Even When Others Doubt You) | Rennie Curran
What if the biggest thing holding you back isn't your circumstances—but the story you've been believing about yourself?

This week on the RevRx Podcast, Chad sits down with former University of Georgia All-American linebacker, NFL veteran, keynote speaker, executive coach, and author Rennie Curran for a conversation about identity, purpose, resilience, and reaching your God-given potential.

Rennie's story is far bigger than football.

Raised by Liberian immigrant parents who modeled faith, sacrifice, and generosity, Rennie overcame doubts about his size, excelled at the highest levels of college football, played professionally, and eventually discovered that football was simply the platform God used to prepare him for a greater calling.

Together, Chad and Rennie discuss how childhood experiences shape identity, why so many people settle for less than they're capable of, and the daily habits that help leaders thrive in every area of life.
Whether you're feeling stuck in your career, discouraged in your faith, struggling with confidence, or simply wondering if there's more for your life, this episode will encourage you to take the next step toward becoming the person God created you to be.
    In This Episode
Why identity matters more than achievement
How Rennie's parents shaped his faith and work ethic
    Overcoming limiting beliefs and self-doubt
What football taught him about leadership
    Why high performance isn't enough

Episode 117: 'Why Does God Allow Natural Disasters?' with Dr. Sharon Dirckx

    01/07/2026 | 36 mins.
Why do earthquakes happen? Why does cancer exist? Why do hurricanes, pandemics, and natural disasters devastate entire communities? If God is good, why would He allow any of it?

These are some of the hardest questions a person can ask—and for many people, they're the biggest obstacle to faith.
In this episode of The RevRx Podcast, Chad sits down with former neuroscientist and Christian apologist Sharon Dirckx to discuss her book Broken Planet and tackle one of the most challenging topics in Christianity: natural evil.

While many Christians understand how human sin contributes to suffering, what about earthquakes, tsunamis, childhood genetic diseases, and natural disasters that seem completely unrelated to human choices?

    Together, Chad and Sharon explore:
Why natural disasters create such a difficult challenge for faith
    Whether nature itself is broken
What Genesis and Romans teach about a fallen creation
How Christianity explains suffering differently than atheism or Eastern religions
The surprising connection between earthquakes and the death and resurrection of Jesus
Why humanitarian aid and hospitals have deep Christian roots
How God meets us in suffering rather than abandoning us to it
The hope Christians have in a future restored creation

Whether you're wrestling with personal suffering, grieving loss, questioning faith, or simply looking for deeper answers, this conversation offers both intellectual insight and genuine hope.

Because Christianity doesn't ignore suffering—it faces it head on.

In a broken world, there is still hope.

Episode 116: 'How Nature and Beauty Point to God' with Xandra Grieme

    24/06/2026 | 39 mins.
Can a mountain peak, a thunderstorm, a flower, or a star-filled sky tell us something about God?

In this fascinating conversation, Chad sits down with author, speaker, and biopologist Xandra Grieme to explore how nature reveals the character, beauty, and power of God.

Xandra shares her powerful personal story of walking away from faith after witnessing intense suffering, wrestling with questions about God's goodness, and ultimately experiencing a dramatic encounter that brought her back to Christ.

    Together, Chad and Xandra discuss:
What bioapologetics is and why it matters
    Can science and Christianity coexist?
Why many students struggle with faith in college
The problem of suffering and where God is in our pain
Why beauty moves us so deeply
How nature points us toward the Creator
The connection between mental health, solitude, and creation
Why we're naturally drawn to mountains, oceans, forests, and sunsets
The concept of "Two Books Theology"—Scripture and Creation
How God uses beauty to draw people to Himself

Whether you're a believer, skeptic, scientist, nature lover, or simply someone searching for meaning, this conversation will encourage you to slow down, look around, and consider what creation might be saying about its Creator.

Episode 115: 'From Infertility to Family of 5: The Story Only God Could Write' with Joshua Carter

    17/06/2026 | 41 mins.
What do you do when the prayer you've prayed for years seems to go unanswered?

In this moving conversation, I sit down with local educator, coach, husband, and father Joshua Carter to hear the remarkable story of how God transformed years of infertility, disappointment, and waiting into a testimony of hope.

After trying to have children for years, Josh and his wife Hope faced devastating setbacks, failed IVF treatments, and the emotional toll that comes with infertility. Eventually, they turned to adoption and welcomed their son Hatcher into their family.

Years later, after another long season of waiting, they adopted a baby girl named Emalyn.

Then something happened that no doctor—and certainly no one in the Carter family—expected.

This conversation is about faith when God seems silent, trusting God's timing when it doesn't make sense, and discovering that sometimes His plan is bigger and better than the one we would have written ourselves.

If you're walking through unanswered prayers, disappointment, infertility, grief, or a season of waiting, this episode is for you.
