➊ Take the leap：放手一搏。leap可以作為跳躍的一步或是改變。
➋ Seize the day ：把握當下。seize是指抓住的意思。
➌ Pluck up the courage：鼓起勇氣。pluck有拔起的意思。
➍ Toxic work environment：有毒的職場環境。
➎ Gender bias / Gender inequality：性別偏見／性別不平等
➏ Microaggression：微歧視。aggression指的是侵略、攻擊性、敵意的行為或態度。
【情境對話】
D:You should really get away from that toxic work environment. Working overtime every day isn’t healthy.
你應該避免有毒的職場環境，天天加班太累了～
A: Maybe I should pluck up the courage...
或許我應該鼓起勇氣…..
D: Exactly! Quit your job—fortune favors the bold!
沒錯！離職就對了，勇敢的人先享受世界！
A:Oh—I meant I should pluck up the courage to turn down some requests. 喔！我的意思是我應該鼓起勇氣去拒絕這些要求！

save……from＋N/ V-ing：拯救…免於…。
This year To save me from tears－Wham!《Last Christmas》 今年我免於流淚。
in the mood：有心情做某事／有那個情緒、氛圍、感覺。常見用法是 be in the mood (for something / to do something)表示「有心情、有興致想要做某事」
Let It Snow is blasting out, but I won’t get in the mood.－Ariana Grande《Santa Tell Me》 雖然正在播《Let It Snow》，但我就是提不起過聖誕節的興致。
FYI ：for your information的縮寫，表示提供資訊給你。
FYI, the meeting starts at 10 a.m. 提供你參考，會議10點開始。
還有一種是：FYR = for your reference（提供給你參考），相對比較不重要，但可以給對方看看是否有幫助。
steal the show／spotlight／scene：搶走別人的風采、成為全場焦點。
