Ep. 325 - Why Sharing Your Story Matters: Vulnerability, Healing & Helping Others

    09/09/2026 | 11 mins.
What if the hardest thing you’ve lived through could become exactly what someone else needs to hear?

After sharing about my hysterectomy, I received so many messages about why I chose to be so open. In this episode, I’m talking about the power of vulnerability, resilience, and sharing our stories in a way that helps others feel less alone.

I also share one of my core beliefs: share from the scar, not the wound. We don’t have to share while we’re still in the deepest part of the pain. But once we’ve had space to heal, our experiences can become connection, encouragement, and even purpose.

    We talk about:
    ● Why sharing your story matters
    ● Choosing hope even when there are no guarantees
    ● Turning pain into purpose
    ● How vulnerability creates connection
    ● Why “me too” can be so healing

I’m also sp psyched to be opening two spots for private coaching. If you’re ready to step more fully into the woman you know you’re meant to be, email me at melody@getgirlpower.com. Let's talk about what working together could look like.

Ep. 324 - What If It All Goes Right? My Hysterectomy, Healing & the Law of Assumption

    03/09/2026 | 16 mins.
What if the beliefs you choose before you walk through something difficult can actually change the way you experience it?

I’m recording this episode just days after my hysterectomy, and I’m feeling incredibly grateful for how beautifully my recovery has been unfolding.
But this episode isn’t really about my hysterectomy.

It’s about what we do when we’re standing in front of something that scares us. A surgery. A career change. The end of a relationship. A big decision. A new beginning. Any moment when fear starts getting loud and we have to decide which voice we’re going to listen to.

In this episode, I’m sharing how I coached myself through this experience using some of the very same tools I use with my coaching clients.
We talk about the self-fulfilling prophecy, the Law of Assumption, the questions we ask ourselves, the stories we allow into our consciousness, and the words we use when we speak about what’s ahead.

I also share why choosing empowering thoughts doesn’t mean ignoring reality. I did the research. I got second opinions. I listened to my doctors. I took the medication. I’m following the rules of recovery.

The mindset work doesn’t replace aligned action. It works alongside it.

Because there is incredible power in being able to say: I’ve looked at the facts. I’ve made my decision. And now I’m going to support that decision with everything I’ve got.

Maybe there’s something in your life right now that you’ve been questioning, overthinking, or allowing fear to take over.
What would change if, instead of constantly asking, “What if this goes wrong?” you started asking, “What if this works out beautifully?”

This is the work I love doing with women: helping you get underneath the fear, reconnect with your own knowing, shift the stories that are keeping you stuck, and move forward feeling deeply rooted in your own power.

I’m opening up a few private coaching spots right now. If you feel like you’re in a season of change, transition, reinvention, or simply know that you’re ready for something more, I’d love to hear from you.

Reach out to me directly at melody@getgirlpower.com and tell me a little bit about what you’re moving through.
You are far more powerful than you’ve been taught to believe.

Ep. 323 - Her Inner Voice Starts With You: How the Way We Talk to Girls Shapes Their Confidence

    16/08/2026 | 9 mins.
How do the words we say to girls shape the way they eventually speak to themselves?

This episode is for anyone who interacts with girls - whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, mentor, aunt, grandparent, youth leader, or simply someone who has the opportunity to influence a girl's life.

In this short episode of Empowering Her, I'm talking about how the words girls hear from the adults around them can slowly become part of their inner voice. The way we respond to mistakes, talk about appearance, praise achievement, encourage risk-taking, and even speak about ourselves can all influence a girl's confidence, self-worth, and ability to trust herself.

The beautiful part is that we get to be intentional about the messages we give them. Simple words like "I trust you," "You can figure this out," and "You don't have to be perfect" can help build confidence, resilience, and self-trust that girls carry with them long after the conversation ends.
Because empowering girls doesn't only happen during the big talks. It happens in the everyday moments - in our homes, classrooms, sports teams, workshops, car rides, and conversations.

One question I hope you'll take with you after listening:
Would I want her saying these same words to herself ten years from now?

If this conversation resonates with you and you want to go deeper, my book, Empowered Women Empower Girls: A Guide to Modeling Courage, Confidence + Self-Love for Our Next Generation, explores how the way we show up, speak to ourselves, and move through the world can help shape the next generation of girls. Ep. 322 - What a Muse Concert Taught Me About Success

    27/07/2026 | 11 mins.
What happens when success does not look the way you expected it to?

After seeing Muse perform at Jones Beach, I found myself thinking about success, impact, and the way we measure whether something is working.

Before the concert began, my family and I noticed something unexpected about the crowd. It sparked a conversation about numbers, recognition, and what it must feel like to show up when reality does not match the picture you had in your mind.

Then Muse took the stage, and everything shifted.

In this episode of Empowering Her, I share what that night taught me about measuring success, letting go of an all-or-nothing mindset, and continuing to show up even when the numbers are not what you hoped they would be.

    We explore:

How numbers and metrics shape our definition of success
Why an all-or-nothing mindset can keep us from beginning
The pressure to be the best before we allow ourselves to try
What it means to show up fully
How to create meaningful work without relying on external validation

This episode is for anyone who has questioned whether their work matters because the audience, sales, downloads, followers, or recognition were smaller than expected.

And if you have been feeling called to create something meaningful for girls but have been waiting until you feel more qualified, more confident, or more ready, the GiRLiFE Launchpad was created for you.

For $37, you will receive lifetime access to a 60-minute masterclass that walks you through how to create, price, and fill your first girls' empowerment workshop. Can't beat this experience!

You do not need a huge audience or a perfect plan. You simply need the willingness to begin.

Ep. 321 - The Beauty of Being a B+ Student

    17/07/2026 | 13 mins.
How many dreams have you put on hold because you thought you needed to know more, be more, or become more before you were ready?

In this episode, I'm sharing a lesson that began with a simple (well intentioned) question my dad asked me after I proudly brought home a 98% on a test - A question that would shape the belief that anything less than perfect isn't enough.

    Today, we're challenging that belief.

I'm sharing the five things that "B+ students" understand that can completely change the way you approach your life, your work, your purpose, and your dreams. This isn't about settling for less. It's about choosing courage over perfection, participation over procrastination, and impact over impressing people.
If you've been waiting for the perfect moment to start something meaningful, this episode is your reminder that the world doesn't need you to be perfect—it needs you to show up.

    In this episode, we'll explore:
Why perfection keeps so many women stuck
The difference between excellence and perfection
    Why messy action creates clarity
How mistakes become your greatest teachers
Why contribution will always matter more than perfection
The question that might finally help you stop waiting

If this conversation resonated with you, I'd love to invite you to my free Launchpad Masterclass, where I'll show you how to take the first step toward meaningful work that creates real impact—without waiting until you feel "ready."
