Unfiltered Grief: Why We Need to Stop Censoring the Conversation
Send us a textSeason 2: Episode 8 - Unfiltered Grief: Why We Need to Stop Censoring the ConversationThis episode comes straight from the heart. I’m diving into a topic that’s been weighing on me for a little while — the way we’ve started to censor how we talk about grief, loss, and especially suicide. If we are not careful it will become less about connection and more about correctness. And the truth is, when we start policing language, we risk silencing the people who are already hurting the most.I talk about how phrases like “committed suicide” or even “trigger warning” have become taboo — and how that kind of censorship often comes from people outside the arena, not those living in it. When I’m forced to stop and think about finding the “right” words, it disconnects me from the raw, authentic truth of my experience — and that’s exactly what helps others feel less alone. This episode is about bringing the humanity back to the conversation. It’s about letting grief be messy, real, and unfiltered — because pretending it’s anything else only adds to the pain.Because when we speak truth — even when it’s uncomfortable — we make it safe for others to do the same.If this conversation resonates with you I’d love to invite you into my free online community — Why Mindset Matters on Skool — a space where like-minded souls come together to grow, heal, and speak openly. 👉 https://www.skool.com/why-mindset-matters-6748And if my work, podcast, or book has positively impacted you or someone you love, it would mean the world if you’d take a moment to share your experience. When You Just Don’t Have It In You
Send us a textSeason 2 Episode 6: When You Just Don’t Have It In You In this episode, I open up about the days when you just don’t have it in you — when the weight of it all feels like too much and even the smallest steps forward feel impossible. I talk about my own experiences with emotional overwhelm, grief, and the pressure to keep showing up when your body and heart are asking you to slow down.I share how learning to truly listen to my body, honour my nervous system, and give myself permission to pause became powerful parts of my healing journey. This conversation is about vulnerability, self-compassion, and remembering that sometimes the most productive thing we can do is rest. From breakdown to breakthrough, I’ve learned that healing isn’t linear — it’s layered, messy, and deeply human. My hope is that this episode reminds you that you’re not alone, that the pause is powerful, and that even when it feels like nothing’s working out… it’s always working out.If this conversation resonates with you I’d love to invite you into my free online community — Why Mindset Matters on Skool — a space where like-minded souls come together to grow, heal, and speak openly.👉 https://www.skool.com/why-mindset-matters-6748And if my work, podcast, or book has positively impacted you or someone you love, it would mean the world if you’d take a moment to share your experience. When Mindset Meets Physiology: The Real Work of Healing
Send us a textSeason 2 Episode 5 - When Mindset Meets Physiology: The Real Work of HealingIn this episode, I talk about the truth that while mindset really does matter — it isn’t everything. There are times in life, especially through grief and trauma, when we can be doing all the “right” things and still feel stuck, heavy, or disconnected. And that’s okay.I share my own experiences of navigating deep loss and healing, and how I came to understand that real resilience isn’t about pushing through or bypassing our feelings — it’s about honoring them, alongside taking care of our physical and emotional wellbeing. Sometimes the body needs as much support as the mind does. This conversation is an invitation to give yourself grace, lean into community, and remember that even in the midst of struggle, there is still beauty, growth, and life to be found.Support the show

Breaking the Silence: Why Talking About Our Pain Saves Lives
Send us a textSeason 2 Episode 4: Breaking the Silence - Why Talking About Our Pain Saves Lives In this episode of the Why Mindset Matters podcast, I dive into the darkness so many people find themselves in before taking their own life — that silent, heavy space where it feels like no one else could possibly understand. I know that place, and I know how isolating it can feel. But I also know the power of breaking the silence. When we share our struggles, we not only create connection and understanding, we create hope. I open up about my own experiences with grief and mental health, and why having these conversations is so vital. My hope is that by speaking candidly, I can help normalize conversations around mental health and remind you that it’s okay to ask for help — because even in the darkest times, you are not alone.Support the show
