  • Episode Zero: So… Where Have I Been?
Before we kick into the official first episode, I wanted to catch you up on where I’ve been for the past eight months, why I left The Edge after nearly two decades, and what’s been going on in my life — the good, the bad, and the flu. From finding my feet without a daily radio show to learning te reo, dealing with loss, and MORE… It’s been a ride. Think of this as Episode Zero — a little life update, a little bit of honesty, and a whole lot of ‘escaping the shit show’ together. • Anxiety with Sir John Kirwan
One of the bucket list guests I had for the season was Sir John Kirwin.  Sir JK has done incredible things through sharing his mental health journey, he’s helped so many people including myself.  In this episode, my goal was not to cry like the other 2 times but also to talk to Sir JK about anxiety, his journey with it, his advice, tips, tricks and it’s one of the most beneficial conversations I’ve ever had (I was also so nervous I sweated ALOT hahaha)  HELPFUL LINKS:Find us on social media @bettermehopefullypodcast   Find Sharyn on social media @sharyncasey    Learn more about your ad choices. • Over Exercising & AMA with Han Romano
I had NEVER heard of the term ‘Over exercising’ until I was working out everyday, sometimes twice a day but kept putting on weight, I felt like shit, slept poorly and it made me crave so much sugar. Doing this episode was really important to me because that frustration of not losing weight when you’re smashing your body at the gym is such a mind F and it’s so unhealthy. It messed with me so much mentally.  My friend Han Romano who’s a fitness trainer is our expert this week and she has the best advice for anyone stuck in the over exercising rut or may not realise they are, plus Han answers ALL your submitted questions!
