Joining Brian and myself in our virtual studio we are delighted to have Matt Ozment join us. Matt is an employment lawyer in South Carolina and is married to a vet (that is the veterinary connection). I approached Matt to ask him to talk on the podcast about contracts. Something that I’ve been asked about over the years by our graduates going into practice and thought a podcast might be the way I can ask an expert, Matt, these questions. We hope that you enjoy. If you are in South Carolina and have a question for Matt – get in contact: [email protected] find a lawyer in the US contact your State Bar Association (e.g. in Colorado https://www.cobar.org).To find a lawyer in the UK search the Law Society website: https://www.lawsociety.org.ukTo find a lawyer in Australia, each state/territory has its own Law Society (e.g. ACT: https://actlawsociety.asn.au/find-a-lawyer )To find a lawyer in New Zealand search the Law Society website: https://www.lawsociety.org.nzTo find a lawyer in Canada, each province has its own Law Society (e.g. in Ontariohttps://lso.ca/home ) To Cite this podcast as: Dom Barfield. Clive, an RVC alumnus (his PhD and Masters in Immunology), spent 20 years in private referral practice, where he was Managing Director. He now runs his own coaching business. • 145 RECOVER update 2024 CPR guidelines
Joining Brian and myself in our virtual studio we are overwhelmed to be in the company of the magnificent, internationally renowned Professor Dan Fletcher, from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University. Dr Fletcher with his co-chairs Dr Boller, Dr Burkitt and Program Director Ken Yagi have collated the evidence to provide the veterinary community with evidence-based guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in dogs and cats. The original guidelines came out in 2012, and the scope of this initiative is wide and their coverage immense. Ploughing back proceeds into educational development tools, in-person training, research database, apps, and simulation training, computer programmes and of course new guidelines. Do you know what you need to know, when you need to know it? If not have a listen and then download and read the guidelines and put up the algorithm posters on your walls, and if you can take the course. It was great to talk to Prof Fletcher about this, inspirational. We hope that you enjoy.
