In this episode, I am speaking with Jonathan Todd Schwartz. Jonathan is a former Hollywood business manager whose life dramatically shifted after addiction, gambling, and poor decisions led to federal prison. Once advising high-profile clients such as Beyoncé and Alanis Morissette, Jonathan’s career collapsed under the pressures of the entertainment industry and the behaviours driven by his addiction. After serving his sentence, he committed fully to rebuilding his life, beginning a deep journey of sobriety, accountability, and personal transformation.
Now over eight years sober, Jonathan works as a Program Director and recovery advocate at Altus Rehab, where he helps individuals navigate the emotional, mental, and practical challenges of early recovery. His story highlights the power of taking responsibility, healing from shame, and creating purpose after hitting rock bottom. Jonathan speaks openly about addiction, redemption, resilience, and the daily habits that support long-term sobriety. His mission is to inspire others to believe in second chances and the possibility of complete reinvention.
