On today's PoM podcast we have a very important conversation addressing how many men are self-sabatoging themselves by removing themselves from community when things get difficult or don't go the way they expected it to go.
Proverbs 18:1 reminds us"Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment."
One of the saddest patterns I see among men isn't necessarily addiction, laziness, or immorality... It's self-sabotage.

On today's PoM Podcast we continue our walk through the book of James and address how we can demonstrate and practice patience while we are suffering.
Daily we are given opportunities to practice patience whether we asked for them or not. How we respond to those opportunities will be reflected by the hope that we hold fast to.

On today's PoM podcast we take a look at what happens when a man gets angry. Scripture makes it clear that we will get angry, but what are we supposed to do about it?
We are going to unpack the root causes of destructive anger in men:
Unmet expectations: Wife, kids, job, self, etc.
Wounded pride: Feeling disrespected or out of control
Buried pain: Anger as the "acceptable" emotion covering hurt, fear, or shame
Exhaustion: Physical/spiritual depletion lowers the threshold
Most men either explode or suppress their anger. Neither is biblical maturity. There must be a better way.

On today's PoM podcast we continue our walk through the book of James and asking the question, "Do I use my possessions ever for the benefit of others."
It is not wrong to have stuff, even a lot of stuff. But when we develop a hoarding mindset where what we have builds our kingdom but doesn't advance God's, then we have a problem.
