  • Ep11 - Trap Talk : Moods
Welcome to the very first episode of "Trap Talk"—a new monthly segment where we take a real-life question and explore the kind of thinking that quietly keeps us stuck in a thought trap. This time, we're looking at moods—those heavy emotional shifts that seem to take over without warning. We will gently unpack how our relationship to moods (and the thoughts that fuel them) can either keep us trapped… or help us find freedom.Have a question you'd love to hear unpacked in a future "Trap Talk?" I'd love to hear from you!"The Thought Trap — a space for quieting the busy brain, turning down the noisy chatter, and stepping more fully into life"👉 Email: [email protected]🧘‍♀️ Join my LIVE insight timer talks: https://insig.ht/pwS2LDWGsUb?utm_source=copy_link&utm_medium=live_stream_shareLove what you are hearing? • Ep10:- A Doctor With a Difference : The Thought Trap
This is Episode 10, and I’m feeling REALLY proud of myself—this feels like a huge milestone! I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by inviting Dr. Giles P. Croft onto the show. He’s very funny, clever, and incredibly relatable. In this celebratory episode, he poses—and answers—the question: "What’s the first thing we need to know to escape a Thought Trap?"A bit about the Doctor with a differenceGiles moved away from an NHS surgical career to explore various alternative life-paths, in an accidental quest to find the source of fulfilment and happiness, ultimately realising it was there all along. These days he writes a free "Daily Reminder" email for a growing community of like-minded people, hosts a monthly 'GP' surgery with a difference, and delivers restorative coaching sessions both online and outdoors in the Brecon Beacons National Park, where he lives with his wife and daughter. When not working, he's usually riding his bike, somewhere in the hills. The Daily Reminders: https://gilespcroft.com/newsletterInsight Timer: https://gilespcroft.link/insight YouTube: https://youtube.com/drgilespcroftFacebook: https://facebook.com/drgilespcroft Contact: https://gilespcroft.com/contact/Want more of this kind of magic? • EP9:- Did We Miss The Memo? : The Thought Trap
In this episode, I get real about something I honestly don't think we got the memo on - the way we take our thoughts, feelings and emotions so flipping personally. I share a powerful analogy (not mine, but one that cracked something wide open for me when I first heard it). It's simple but it shifted so much. Without a shadow of a doubt, this has become my truth - and I see it land for others too, when they're willing to just peep beyond the surface. Let's go there together!!!!"The Thought Trap — a space for quieting the busy brain, turning down the noisy chatter, and stepping more fully into life"Love what you are hearing? • EP8: - My Cat Jimmy: The Thought Trap
In this episode of The Thought Trap, we dive into the tricky world of beliefs—those deep-seated assumptions we accept as truth without ever questioning them. I share a personal story about a belief I held for most of my life: that I didn’t like cats. It was something I thought I knew for sure… until reality challenged that conviction in an unexpected way.Join me as I invite you to start questioning your own beliefs. This episode blends reflection, humour, and insight into how even our most “certain” convictions can shift."The Thought Trap — a space for quieting the busy brain, turning down the noisy chatter, and stepping more fully into life"Love what you are hearing? • EP7 - What is Coaching? : The Thought Trap
In this episode, I sit down with Kaz Lane (Karen), one of my incredible clients, to talk about her experience with Change Coaching through my coaching practice, The Missing Peace. She speaks straight from the heart. And honestly? What happens in coaching—when two people really show up—is nothing short of life-changing. I get asked all the time, “What even is coaching?” Sure, I can explain it. But hearing it from someone who’s lived it? That’s the real answer. The Thought Trap — a space for quieting the busy brain, turning down the noisy chatter, and stepping more fully into lifeJoin my mailing list to notified about The Thought Trap Group Community and other offeringshttps://www.themissingpeacecotswolds.com/#subscribe-to-my-mailing-listCertified Change Coach Directoryhttps://dramyjohnson.com/coach/rebecca-gardner/If you want to know more about me, check out my websitehttps://themissingpeacecotswolds.comLots of free resources are found here (including access to my social pages)https://campsite.bio/themissingpeaceDisclaimer:As a Certified Change Coach trained by Dr. Amy Johnson, PhD, and a member of the Association of Coaching, I approach wellbeing from a holistic perspective.
