In this week’s episode of High on Home Grown, we’re covering a wide mix of enforcement, research, and political moves from both sides of the Atlantic:

Macky starts with a major UK bust after police seized two tonnes of cannabis during a farm raid in Blackrod, according to the BBC. A huge operation that raises familiar questions about scale, enforcement priorities, and who really pays the price when these grows get taken down.

DC Smee debutes on the show and talks about a local court case from Bradford, where a man found himself in trouble after loaning his van to cannabis fly-tippers. A cautionary tale about favours gone wrong, and how easily people can get dragged into serious charges.

Dr. Margaret brings some policy news from the US, as Trump signs an order expanding medical cannabis research. A potentially important move that could finally loosen long-standing restrictions on what scientists are allowed to study.

We also touch on a story from Windsor, Ontario, involving a student who allegedly brought THC gummies into a school, another reminder of how education, regulation, and responsibility often lag behind reality.

John wraps things up with two big US developments: Texas moving to ban smokable cannabis as early as January 25, while at the same time the US House passes a bill protecting state medical marijuana laws and rejecting an attempt to block Trump’s rescheduling move.
