    #149 - Brainwash Your Success

    30/09/2026 | 38 mins.
In this episode of Your Invisible Advantage we dive into how to brainwash yourself.
What if the biggest thing shaping your life isn't reality itself — but the version of reality your brain has learned to see?
Brainwashed: Science × Spirituality, a solo series exploring the psychology, neuroscience, identity and deeper human patterns quietly influencing the way we experience our lives.
Your brain isn't a passive camera recording everything around you objectively.
    It's constantly interpreting.
    What matters.
    What's dangerous.
    What's familiar.
    What's possible.
    What something means about you.
And those interpretations are influenced by everything you've already experienced.
Which means two people can walk into the exact same situation and leave having experienced two completely different realities.
    One sees rejection.
    One sees redirection.
One sees proof they're bad with money.
Another sees a problem they can learn to solve.
    One sees failure.
Another sees an opportunity to build a capability they didn't have before.
Same event. Different perception. Different experience. Different next decision.
    In this episode, I unpack:
~ Why your experience of reality is filtered rather than perfectly objective
~ How past experiences influence what you notice, expect and avoid
~ Why familiarity and perceived safety can quietly shape your decisions
~ How identity becomes a filter for future experiences
~ Why “I'm bad with money,” “people don't respect me,” “business is hard” and “I'm not disciplined” become self-reinforcing stories
~ Why your mind keeps finding evidence for what it already believes
~ How two people can experience the same situation completely differently
~ Why knowing something intellectually doesn't automatically change your behaviour
~ The difference between operating to avoid past pain and moving towards love
~ Why the words “I know” deserve far more scrutiny
~ The question that can interrupt an existing perception: “What would I notice if I didn't already believe this?”
~ Why problems can become opportunities to create entirely new responses rather than further evidence for an old identity
And I leave you with something practical to start noticing in your own life.
Pay attention to everything you confidently say you know.
    “I know I'm not disciplined.”
“I know people don't buy from me.”
“I know I'm terrible with money.”
    “I know I'll lose motivation.”
“I know they don't respect me.”
“I know that won't work for someone like me.”
Then start watching your behaviour through two questions:
What am I doing to avoid pain?
What am I doing to gain love?
Because underneath the behaviour you keep trying to change may be an entire version of reality you've never thought to question.
You don't need to blindly believe something new.
You need to become curious about what you've already decided is true.
Because changing your life sometimes begins with questioning the reality you've been unconsciously defending.

#149 - The Curse of Ambition

    29/09/2026 | 16 mins.
In this episode of Your Invisible Advantage, Tayla breaks down a pattern almost no one talks about - why high earners, high performers, and highly capable women often struggle to feel genuine pride in what they’ve built.
High earners often don’t struggle with ambition - they struggle with allowing success to land.
In this episode of Your Invisible Advantage, Taylor breaks down why capable, high-performing women rarely feel genuine pride in what they’ve built, even when they’re objectively successful.
    This conversation explores:
Why praise can feel uncomfortable instead of rewarding
How forward momentum becomes a survival strategy
The psychological cost of constantly moving the goalpost
Why pride often feels unsafe at higher levels of responsibility
This isn’t about slowing down or “being grateful.”
It’s about understanding the internal structure of high achievement - and what leadership requires as success scales.
If you’re doing well on paper but still feel internally restless, this episode will make sense of it.

#148-  Don't Wait Until They're Gone [ft. Christina Pengilly]

    20/09/2026 | 49 mins.
In this deeply honest conversation, Christina Pengilly returns to Your Invisible Advantage to talk about navigating grief, holding joy and pain at the same time, and continuing to build a meaningful life while carrying something incredibly heavy behind the scenes.

How do you keep living your life when your heart is breaking?

Rather than discussing content or strategy, this episode explores what it really means to keep your heart open when life gives you every reason to close it.

    We talk about:
    • Living with grief while still chasing your dreams• Why vulnerability creates deeper connection• The healing power of community• Showing up authentically on social media• Why you'll never know when something is the last time• Self-trust during life's hardest seasons• The pressure to "have it all together"• Creating a personal brand that feels human• How pain and joy can exist at the same time• Finding purpose through adversity

This is one of the most emotional and honest conversations we've ever had on the podcast.

If you're navigating loss, change, uncertainty, or simply trying to keep moving forward through a difficult season, I hope this conversation reminds you that you don't have to do it perfectly.

#147 - 10 Unexpected Life Lessons From Ted Lasso

    13/09/2026 | 39 mins.
In this episode of Your Invisible Advantage, I'm unpacking 10 of the biggest life lessons I took from the show TED LASSO ~ and why so many of them apply to entrepreneurship, high performance and the way we lead ourselves and other people.

I started watching Ted Lasso for entertainment and somehow ended up taking notes on leadership, success, ego, relationships and what it actually means to be a good human.
    We talk about:
⚡️ Why curiosity will take you further than judgement
⚡️ Why great leaders don't need to be the smartest person in the room
⚡️ How the way you make people feel can change what they're capable of
⚡️ When your greatest strength quietly becomes an avoidance strategy
⚡️ Why capable people still need somewhere they can be held
⚡️ Forgiveness without abandoning your standards
⚡️ Believing before you have enough evidence
⚡️ Why winning isn't always the point
⚡️ Accepting that you can't do someone else's changing for them
⚡️ And, of course... why sometimes you just need to be a goldfish

Underneath all ten lessons is probably the thing I loved most about Ted Lasso:
Success means very little if you lose your humanity trying to achieve it.

You can be ambitious. You can want money, recognition, impact and extraordinary results.
But who you become while getting there matters too.
