- 🎙️ EP 344 Stop Telling Her to Keep Going, Help Her Carry it!
(Solo episode w/ Ildiko Ferenczi)
ENTREPRENEUR PARENTS PODCAST
Hosted by Dan Caldwell and Ildiko Ferenczi
What does supporting a mother actually look like?
Sometimes it looks like sharing her business, recommending her work, or celebrating what she has built. But sometimes the support she needs most will never be visible online. Maybe she needs someone to watch the children so she can take the meeting. A meal during launch week. Help learning a skill. An introduction to the right person. Or a husband who treats her calling as something worthy of time and space within the family.
In this episode of Becoming Unshakable: Moms Supporting Moms, Ildiko Ferenczi explores the difference between encouragement and meaningful support. Because a mother building a business, pursuing a God-given calling, or creating something meaningful while raising children may not need another person telling her to wake up earlier, manage her time better, believe in herself, or just keep going.
She may not lack discipline. She may lack uninterrupted time.
She may not need another compliment. She may need a connection.
And she may not need to hear, "Let me know if you need anything." She may need someone willing to notice the weight and offer one specific thing they can actually help carry.
🌱 In This Episode, You'll Discover
Why mothers often need practical support more than additional advice
Why interruptions and mental load shouldn't be mistaken for a lack of discipline
The difference between encouragement, support, and advocacy
What it really means to become part of another mother's village
Why specific offers of help are often easier to accept
How introductions and shared access can create meaningful opportunities
How women can share their time, knowledge, relationships, and resources
Why husbands should make room for their wives' gifts and callings
How families can protect one another's capacity to pursue what God is asking of them
What Moses, Aaron, and Hur teach us about helping someone carry a heavy assignment
❤️ A Word for Husbands
A strong woman may be capable of carrying an extraordinary amount.
That doesn't mean she was created to carry everything alone.
Supporting your wife's calling doesn't require taking over her assignment. Sometimes it means protecting enough space for her to pursue it. Sharing the responsibilities that consume her capacity. Taking her gifts seriously. Asking what she needs instead of assuming she'll figure it out.
A strong family makes room for both people to become who God is calling them to be.
📖 Scripture From This Episode
Exodus 17:12
When Moses became tired, Aaron and Hur stood beside him and held up his hands.
They didn't take Moses' assignment away from him. They helped hold him steady when his own strength became tired.
Galatians 6:2
"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
We may not be called to build someone else's dream for them. But sometimes we can make sure they don't have to carry every part of it alone.
💭 A Question to Reflect On
Do the people I love only receive my encouragement or do they also experience my support?
Think about one mother in your life who is trying to build, create, lead, heal, or begin again.
What is making the work difficult for her right now?
You don't have to carry everything. You don't have to carry it forever.
But is there one thing you could help carry that would make this week a little lighter?
👑 This Week's Legacy Move
Ask one mother:
"What would make this week lighter?"
Then listen carefully. If you're able, offer one practical and specific form of support.
An hour. A meal. A connection. A skill. Childcare. A recommendation. A phone call. An introduction. Something real.
❤️ Final Encouragement
Sometimes we tell strong women to keep going because we've watched them carry so much for so long that we've forgotten something important:
Being capable of carrying the weight doesn't mean she should have to carry it alone.
A mother doesn't always need another motivational quote. Sometimes she needs someone willing to stand beside her and help hold up her arms.
So encourage her but don't stop there. Notice her. Ask better questions. Open a door if you can. Share what you know. Make the introduction. Carry one thing.
And if a mother came to mind while reading this, don't simply send her this episode. Send it and then ask:
"What would make this week lighter?"
Because mothers need mothers. Spouses need partners. Dreamers need people willing to help carry the weight.
Stop simply telling her to keep going. Help make it possible for her to keep going.

(Solo episode w/ Ildiko Ferenczi)
ENTREPRENEUR PARENTS PODCAST
Hosted by Dan Caldwell and Ildiko Ferenczi
Somewhere tonight, a mother is building something after everyone else has gone to sleep. She may be packing an order at her kitchen table, recording a podcast in a closet, designing a product during nap time, learning how to build a website, or simply finding the courage to share an idea she can't stop thinking about.
In this special Moms Supporting Moms conversation from the Becoming Unshakableseries, Ildiko Ferenczi explores why some of the most meaningful support happens beforesuccess makes supporting someone popular. Before the big audience. Before the polished branding. Before everyone else has decided her work is worth noticing.
Because sometimes the difference between a mother giving up and trying one more time is simply discovering that somebody saw the effort. Somebody understood what it cost her to keep showing up. Somebody cared before the applause became loud.
🌱 In This Episode, You'll Discover
Why visible support can matter more than silent admiration
How one sincere comment, recommendation, review, purchase, or introduction can create real movement
Why supporting another mother doesn't mean pretending everything she creates is perfect
The difference between an unfinished idea and an unworthy idea
Why early entrepreneurs need honest encouragement and thoughtful feedback
How comparison and scarcity can keep women from supporting one another
Why another mother's opportunity doesn't diminish your own
How one mother's success can strengthen families, create jobs, and open doors for other women
How husbands and fathers can encourage the gifts and dreams developing in the mothers they love
🤝 Turn Belief Into Action
There is a difference between privately believing a woman is doing meaningful work and allowing her to know it.
A thoughtful comment tells her the message reached someone.
An honest review helps another customer make a decision.
A recommendation transfers something advertising can't simply buy: trust.
An introduction may open a door she couldn't have reached alone.
A purchase might provide the resources she needs to make the next version better.
Support doesn't have to be enormous to be significant.
It has to be sincere.
💛 Support Isn't Charity
Supporting mothers doesn't mean buying something you don't need or recommending something you don't believe in.
Real support still has standards. We can be generous and discerning at the same time.
But be careful not to confuse unpolished with unpromising.
The mother building in front of you may not be showing you the final version. She may simply be showing you the best version she can create with the resources, knowledge, and time she has today.
She doesn't need people pretending she's already arrived.
She may need a few honest people willing to help her get there.
📖 Scripture From This Episode
Ecclesiastes 4:9
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor."
We can't do the work God entrusted to someone else. Encouragement can't replace discipline, and support can't replace quality.
But our support can meet someone's labor and help it travel farther.
Sometimes God answers a woman's prayer for encouragement through another person who simply decides to speak.
💭 Questions to Reflect On
Think of one mother whose work you genuinely respect.
Have you ever specifically told her what you appreciate?
Have you supported her somewhere other people could see it?
Have you recommended her to someone who could genuinely use what she offers?
Have you quietly admired her while assuming she already knows?
Has comparison ever made it uncomfortable to draw attention to another woman's success?
Then write her name down and remind yourself:
"I don't have to wait until she's successful to help something good move forward."
👑 This Week's Legacy Move
Choose one mother whose work you sincerely believe in and stop being a silent observer.
Leave the review. Share the episode. Recommend the business. Make the introduction. Send an encouraging message. Become a repeat customer if the work deserves it.
Don't make your support performative.
Make it steady, credible, and real.
❤️ Final Encouragement
A mother doesn't need thousands of strangers pretending to believe in her.
She needs the right people responding honestly.
The customer who returns. The listener who shares the episode because it helped them. The friend who recommends her when she isn't in the room to promote herself. The person who can someday say:
"I saw what you were building before everyone else decided it mattered."
And if you're the mother building quietly right now, don't mistake an unfinished beginning for a failed calling.
Your small audience doesn't mean your work has no value. Your imperfect first version doesn't mean you should stop. You're allowed to learn while you build and become more skillful as you continue.
Keep improving. Keep listening. Keep serving. Keep becoming capable of carrying what you've been praying for.
And when the rest of us recognize a mother creating something honest, useful, and worthy, let's not wait until the world gives us permission to believe in her.
Don't wait until the crowd becomes loud to add your voice.
Help something good move forward. Not someday. Now.

Contact@PrettyandPunk.com - 🎙️ EP 342 Becoming a Safe Place for Other Women!
ENTREPRENEUR PARENTS PODCAST
Hosted by Dan Caldwell and Ildiko Ferenczi
Maybe you remember what it felt like to stand close enough to hear the laughter but never feel completely certain you belonged. The conversation that changed when you walked closer. The invitation that never came. The photograph everyone gathered for without noticing you were missing.
In this episode of The Legacy Conversations Bonus Series, Ildiko Ferenczi explores what can happen when we stop asking, "How do I make them choose me?" and begin asking, "Who can I choose?" Instead of spending our lives trying to earn a place inside every circle, we can become the kind of women who notice the person standing where we once stood and simply say, "You can sit with me."
This is a conversation about friendship, motherhood, belonging, loyalty, boundaries, and becoming a safe place for other women not by abandoning wisdom or pretending relationships never hurt, but by choosing to create the kind of connection we may have once needed ourselves.
🌱 In This Episode, You'll Discover
Why healing doesn't always mean finally being accepted by everyone
How our experiences with exclusion can shape the way we treat other women
What it means to become a safe place instead of simply searching for one
Why healthy friendship doesn't keep score
How to support a struggling friend without demanding anything in return
Why another woman's vulnerability should never become entertainment
What it means to protect someone's name when she isn't in the room
Why kindness and strong boundaries can exist together
How women can celebrate one another without comparison or competition
🪑 "You Can Sit With Me"
Sometimes making the circle bigger is as simple as noticing.
Noticing the woman standing alone. The mother who hasn't called back because life became overwhelming. The friend going through something she doesn't know how to explain. The woman who doesn't need advice as much as she needs someone willing to stay.
"You can sit with me" doesn't always mean an actual chair.
It can mean:
You don't have to impress me.
You don't have to pretend you're fine.
You don't have to hide the unfinished parts of your story.
You haven't been forgotten.
Sometimes loving someone means sitting beside her without trying to fix everything.
🤍 Protect Her Name
A safe woman understands that another woman's vulnerability isn't entertainment.
Loyalty isn't only about how we treat someone when she's sitting in front of us. It's also about how we handle her name after she leaves the room.
Sometimes that means having the courage to say:
"Maybe she's carrying something we don't understand."
Or simply:
"I don't think we should talk about this while she's not here."
The things entrusted to us during another person's vulnerable moments should be handled with care.
🛡️ Kindness Still Has Boundaries
Making the circle bigger doesn't mean everyone receives the same access to your heart, home, marriage, or children.
You can forgive someone without returning to an unsafe relationship. You can be compassionate while protecting your peace. You can speak difficult truths without humiliating someone.
Kindness isn't the absence of wisdom.
Sometimes love pulls out a chair.
Sometimes love closes a door with dignity.
💭 Questions to Reflect On
Do other women feel safe being honest around me?
Can I celebrate another woman's success without comparing it to my own?
How do I speak about my friends when they aren't in the room?
Is there someone in my life who may need encouragement without expectation?
Have past experiences with rejection made me more compassionate or more guarded?
Who might be standing near the edge of my circle right now?
❤️ Final Encouragement
Maybe healing was never about finally being invited into every room.
Maybe part of healing is remembering what it felt like to stand outside and deciding another woman won't have to feel invisible when you're in the room.
Notice her.
Celebrate her without diminishing yourself. Protect what she trusted you with. Give grace when motherhood or life becomes heavy. Speak truth when necessary, but speak it with dignity. And keep enough wisdom to know that making room for others doesn't require abandoning healthy boundaries.
You don't have to become the most popular woman in the room.

Contact@PrettyandPunk.com - 🎙️ EP 341 Don't Let Them Talk You Out of Who God Called You to Be!
Protecting the Fire in You and Your Children
ENTREPRENEUR PARENTS PODCAST
Hosted by Dan Caldwell and Ildiko Ferenczi
What did you believe about yourself before the world taught you to be realistic? Before someone laughed, questioned the dream, or made you feel like you needed to become smaller so everyone else could feel more comfortable?
In this episode of the Entrepreneur Parents Podcast, we explore what happens to our God-given dreams as we grow older, how the voices closest to us can strengthen or quietly extinguish our courage, and why parents have an incredible responsibility to notice and protect the developing gifts, confidence, imagination, and purpose within their children.
This conversation is also a reminder that our children aren't only listening to what we tell them about their dreams—they're watching what we do with ours. They see whether Mom writes the book, whether Dad builds the business, whether we make the call, learn the skill, recover from failure, and take another faithful step. Our children are learning from us what adults do with dreams.
🌱 In This Episode, You'll Discover
How to recognize the difference between wisdom and discouragement
Why another person's fear can eventually begin sounding like your own voice
How to protect your calling without becoming prideful
Why raising confident children doesn't mean raising entitled children
How to notice the early gifts and interests developing in your child
Why resilience and discipline can be taught without crushing confidence
How the people around us can strengthen—or diminish—our sense of purpose
Why pursuing your own calling can become a powerful lesson for your children
🔥 Protect the Flame
Children naturally dream, create, experiment, and imagine before they begin worrying about whether they're talented enough or what other people might think.
As parents, our job isn't to promise that every dream will succeed or remove every disappointment from their path. It's to notice what brings light into their eyes, give them opportunities to grow, teach them that talent requires work, and leave enough room for God to reveal who He created them to become.
We don't always know which seed will grow. But we can be careful not to crush it before it has the chance.
📖 Scripture From This Episode
2 Timothy 1:6
"Fan into flame the gift of God."
A gift requires stewardship. It may need practice, discipline, wisdom, courage, protection, and time. Sometimes part of that stewardship is becoming discerning about whose voices receive access to something God is still developing.
💭 A Question to Carry With You
Think back to who you were before the world taught you to doubt what was possible.
What did you love?
What did you believe you could become?
Whose voice made you begin questioning it?
What dream or calling keeps returning, even after you've tried to silence it?
Then look at your children. What brings light into their eyes? What do they talk about without being asked? What would they spend hours learning simply because they love it?
You don't have to know where those interests will lead. Just be careful that your voice doesn't become the first one that convinces them not to find out.
👑 The Legacy Challenge
This week, protect one flame.
Maybe it's yours. Give one neglected dream an hour of serious attention. Write the page. Research the idea. Practice the skill. Record the message. Make the call. Take one faithful step.
Or maybe the flame belongs to your child. Ask them:
"What would you love to learn, build, create, or become?"
Then don't immediately make their answer practical. Listen first. Let them know that what matters to them matters to you.
❤️ Final Encouragement
You don't have to know exactly where every dream will lead to take the next faithful step.
And you don't have to know exactly what your child will become to recognize that God may already be developing something beautiful inside them.
Teach them to work. Teach them to persevere. Teach them to handle disappointment and begin again. But while you prepare them for the realities of life, protect the courage that makes them willing to try in the first place.
And don't forget your own flame.
Your children are watching what you do with the gifts God gave you too.
One careless voice can create years of doubt. But one believing voice can change the direction of a life.
Sometimes, that believing voice gets to be yours.

Contact@PrettyandPunk.com - 🎙️ EP 340 Not Every Friend Is a Friend to Your Marriage!
(Solo episode w/ Ildiko Ferenczi)
ENTREPRENEUR PARENTS PODCAST
Hosted by Dan Caldwell and Ildiko Ferenczi
The people closest to you don't have to openly criticize your marriage to influence it. Sometimes that influence is much quieter, the friend who makes commitment sound like limitation, the relative who treats your spouse like competition, the business partner who celebrates an opportunity without asking what it could cost your family, or even the online voices that continually reinforce anger, comparison, and dissatisfaction.
In this episode of Becoming Unshakable: The Legacy Conversations Bonus Series, Ildiko Ferenczi explores how friends, family, mentors, business partners, social media, podcasts, and even group chats can quietly shape the way we see our spouse and marriage. This isn't about whether the people around you are married or single. Marital status isn't the test. The fruit of their influence is.
Who do you become after spending time with someone? Do you return home more grateful, grounded, and willing to repair, or more critical, secretive, dissatisfied, and disconnected? The voices we repeatedly allow into our lives can influence what we normalize, how we interpret conflict, and whether we move closer to our spouse or farther away.
🌱 In This Episode, You'll Discover
How friends can strengthen or quietly undermine a marriage
The difference between wise counsel and someone simply agreeing with you
Why a true friend doesn't compete with your spouse or covenant
How business relationships and opportunities can affect the entire family
Why honoring someone's spouse when they aren't present matters
How social media, podcasts, group chats, and algorithms can shape our relationships
When thoughtful boundaries may be necessary to protect your marriage
How to become the kind of friend who strengthens other marriages
🧭 The Circle Test
One of the simplest ways to evaluate the people and voices influencing your marriage is to look at the fruit they produce.
Ask yourself:
Who am I becoming after spending time with this person?
Do they encourage honesty, responsibility, forgiveness, and repair? Do they respect your spouse even when your spouse isn't in the room? Can they challenge you when you're wrong instead of automatically taking your side?
The strongest circle isn't filled with people who always tell you yes. It's filled with people who help you remember what your yes must never cost.
📖 Scripture From This Episode
Proverbs 13:20
"Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm."
And 1 Thessalonians 5:11 reminds us to "encourage one another and build each other up."
The people closest to us should help call us toward wisdom, integrity, accountability, and stronger relationships, not quietly pull us away from them.
💬 Questions for Couples
Who has earned the right to speak into our marriage and family decisions?
After spending time with our closest circle, do we feel more grateful for each other or more dissatisfied?
Are there voices we've given influence simply because they're familiar, persuasive, or popular?
Who encourages both spouses to grow without turning their gifts into competition?
Is there a boundary we need to establish around a vulnerable area of our marriage?
Are we the kind of friends who help other marriages become stronger?
❤️ Final Encouragement
Choose people who can see your potential without losing sight of your covenant.
Choose friends who encourage your growth without encouraging you to grow away from the people you love. Find mentors who will celebrate your opportunities but also have the courage to ask what those opportunities might cost your marriage and family.
And become that person for someone else.
Be the friend who refuses to participate in disrespect. The friend who encourages the difficult conversation instead of feeding resentment. The friend who can lovingly say, "Go home and talk to your spouse."
Because not every person in your circle needs access to your marriage and not every voice deserves influence over it.
Surround yourself with people who don't just want to see you succeed. Surround yourself with people who want to see your marriage succeed too.
