Episode Description: In today's episode, we look at how people pleasing, suppressed emotions, performance, and repeatedly overriding your internal "no" may contribute to anxiety, tension, and exhaustion. Instead of always asking, "How do I get rid of this symptom?", try asking, "What did I override?" Safety may not only be calmness; it may also be honesty, expression, boundaries, and living more in alignment with what feels true to you. Ask yourself: "What is my body trying to tell me right now, and what has it been trying to tell me all day?"

Today's Episode on Anxiety and Burnout: What Is Your Body Trying to Tell You?
What if some of the exhaustion you experience is not only about how much you are doing, but how much of yourself you are overriding while doing it? In today's episode, we explore the connection between anxiety, burnout, prolonged nervous system activation, people pleasing, emotional suppression, and repeatedly ignoring what your body is communicating. You may wake up feeling tired, tense, dizzy, heavy, or mentally drained and immediately assume you did too much physically. But another question may be more revealing: What did I override?
Maybe you wanted to say no but said yes.
Maybe you felt anger or resentment but stayed quiet.
Maybe you kept performing, pleasing, smiling, or pushing forward while internally bracing.
Over time, constantly overriding these internal signals can become biological work and contribute to prolonged activation. The body may first communicate quietly through tension, irritation, fatigue, resistance, or a simple internal feeling of no. When those signals are repeatedly ignored, the body may begin turning up the volume.
The goal is not to analyze every sensation or allow symptoms to control your life. It is to become more honest and responsive to yourself. Sometimes that means resting, speaking up, asking for help, setting a boundary, or saying no. Other times it means recognizing fear while still moving toward something you genuinely want. Instead of immediately asking, "How do I get rid of this symptom?" ask, "What is my body actually showing me here?" And at the end of the day, ask yourself: "What is my body trying to tell me right now?" and "What has my body been trying to tell me all day?"

✨ Today's Episode: Why You're Still Anxious: A Deep Conversation About What Keeps Anxiety Alive
In this powerful and deeply honest conversation with Julie, we explore why anxiety can continue even when you are doing everything you can to recover.
This anxiety guy podcast episode goes far beyond symptoms. We uncover the hidden patterns, beliefs, reactions, and survival responses that can keep anxiety alive even when you understand anxiety intellectually and have spent years trying to overcome it.
Through Julie's honest questions and personal experiences, we explore the urgency to recover, resistance towards symptoms, the need for certainty, the pressure to feel better, and the habit of constantly measuring whether recovery is working.
You may have tried calming techniques, mindset work, reassurance, meditation, exposure, nervous system exercises, or countless methods designed to make anxiety disappear. Yet something may still feel stuck.
The reason may not be that you are missing another technique. It may be that your nervous system is still receiving the message that your present experience is unacceptable, unsafe, or must immediately change.
This conversation will help you recognise why your symptoms may not be the real problem. The deeper cycle is often created by the meaning attached to those symptoms and the fearful relationship that develops around them.
When every sensation is monitored, judged, resisted, questioned, or treated as an emergency, the brain continues receiving the message that something is wrong.
This episode is longer than my regular podcast episodes, but it is certainly worth the deeper listen. It may provide the clarity you have been searching for and help you understand what has truly been keeping anxiety alive.

✨ Today's Episode: Your Symptoms Aren't the Real Problem
Health anxiety convinces you that your symptoms must disappear before you can finally feel safe. But the constant monitoring, resistance, and urgency to fix them may be what keeps your nervous system on alert.
In this episode, I share the inner shift that changes how you respond to uncomfortable sensations. When you stop treating every symptom as a problem that must be solved immediately, you begin teaching your brain and body that the experience may be uncomfortable without automatically meaning danger.
The goal is not to ignore your symptoms. It is to stop allowing them to determine whether or not you feel safe. This is where trust begins, the fear cycle starts to weaken, and lasting healing becomes possible.

Stay With Yourself: The Anxiety Recovery Principle That Changes Everything
You may understand anxiety very well and still feel stuck in the same cycle.
For years, I believed recovery meant getting rid of fear, symptoms, and uncomfortable emotions. What I did not realize was that every time discomfort appeared, I abandoned myself through researching, analyzing, fixing, worrying, and trying to understand what everything meant.
In this episode, I share a simple principle that has become deeply important to me: Stay With Yourself.
In This Episode
• Why anxiety can lead to self-abandonment
• What it really means to stay with yourself
• Why you do not need to understand every emotion
• How releasing the need for certainty creates freedom
• Why self-presence supports lasting recovery
Reflection
What would it look like to remain by your own side today without trying to fix, explain, or improve what you are feeling?
